What to do in the first 30 minutes
Redeem the 4 active codes (HUBISLAND, SLIMEPIECE, FREEBOOSTS, 1MILLIONVISITS), accept Chief Brak III's story quest, and aim for a weapon from the Forest Chest.
Pick a mastery before level 15
Greatsword is the safest first pick (drops dominate the Forest Chest at level 1-18). Katana if you prefer quick attacks. Scythe later — it has no Forest Chest drops.
First major milestone
Beat Demon Lord Rima at level 65 in Rima's Spire. She drops Iron Novice and Slime Lord armor — both are real HP jumps that carry you into Zone 2.
Long-term grind target
Ogre Lord at level 255 is the crafting-input goldmine (Ogre Horns 41.58%). Monarch Statue at level 360+ is the current end-game.
The 6-Stage Slime Seas Progression Path
Stage 1 — Onboarding
Level 0–15 · Starter Island
- Redeem all 4 active codes on first login (race rerolls + potions + Fabled Chest Keys).
- Accept Chief Brak III's story quest.
- Reroll Human race at least once — even Uncommon (Fishman / Skypiean) is an upgrade.
- Open Forest Chests. Wooden Katana (17.7%), Iron Greatsword (37.8%), or Refined Greatsword (19%) are your first real weapons.
- Pick your mastery based on your first drops — Greatsword if you see Iron/Refined, Katana if you land Wooden Katana early.
Stage 2 — Crimson Ruins grind
Level 15–30 · Island 2
- Talk to Adventurer Dave for waypoint tutorial (unlocks at level 15).
- Activate the Forest Waypoint: 1,000 gold + 2 Fur Tuffs + 5 Broken Horns.
- Open Forest Elder Chests for the mid-tier weapon chain (Refined Katana 37.8%, Adventurer's Greatsword 19%, Slime Greatsword 8.1%).
- Craft Wolf Tail (Lvl 4, 5 Fur Clumps) and Akuma Horns (Lvl 10, 2 Broken Horns).
Stage 3 — First boss
Level 30–65 · Rima's Spire
- Push to Rima's Spire on Island 3.
- Beat Demon Lord Rima. 4,000 HP solo — most masteries clear in 2-3 minutes.
- Farm Rima for Iron Novice (17.75%/23.66%) and Slime Lord (8.87%/12.42%) armor sets — both are major defense jumps.
- Unlock Ash the Pet Master on the Ice Bridge above Rima's arena. Hatch your first drake pet.
- Dismantle duplicate Rima drops into crystals for Blacksmith upgrades.
Stage 4 — The Dunes
Level 90–160 · Zone 2
- Push from Desert Island (90) through Guild Headquarters (125) to Sinbad's Keep (160).
- Join a guild at Island 5 if you plan to PvP or raid.
- Beat King Sinbad. 15,000 HP solo, uses the Thornblade. His arena blocks the cheese strategy — no out-of-arena Mastery skills work.
- Farm Sinbad for Copper Novice and Thorn armor sets. Thornblade drops as a rare weapon.
Stage 5 — Goblin Ruins
Level 190–255 · Zone 3
- Push from Goblin's Landing (190) through Shattered Hollow (220) to Ogre Lord's Bastion (255).
- Beat Ogre Lord — 45,000 HP solo or 90,000 in a trio raid.
- Farm Ogre Lord aggressively. Ogre Horns at 41.58% are the premier crafting material and his 0.51% rare drops include Doomblade, Gilded Leviathan, and Monarch's Scythe.
- Upgrade Apprentice Plate into Enchanted Plate at the Blacksmith.
Stage 6 — Shadow World (end-game)
Level 315–360+ · Zone 4
- Push through Duskfall Isle (315) to Sovereign's End (360+).
- Beat Monarch Statue. 160,000 HP solo or 300,000 in trio raids — bring a party.
- Farm for Shadow Steel and Igris armor sets. Four 0.17% ultra-rare weapons include Amethyst Avenger, Hollow Wraith Blade, and Necroshade.
- Stockpile Fabled Chest Keys from the 1MILLIONVISITS code and boss drops.
Common Progression Mistakes
- Rerolling for a Legendary race before picking a mastery — you'll likely land one that fights your build.
- Skipping Rima early and trying to push to Zone 2. Her armor drops are required HP to survive Zone 2 mobs.
- Upgrading every weapon you get at the Blacksmith. The first upgrade is free, but each success lowers the next chance by 5%. Save upgrades for your main weapon.
- Farming Frost Wraith (if it exists later) or other side content before your main route is done.
Slime Seas Progression FAQ
How long does it take to finish Slime Seas progression?+
The current end of content is Monarch Statue at level 360+. Reaching it casually takes dozens of hours of farming; with Extra Boss Drop gamepass, Superior EXP potions, and an optimal mastery it compresses to a fraction of that.
What mastery should beginners pick in Slime Seas?+
Greatsword. Forest Chest drops 5 Greatswords at level 1-18 and only 1 Katana (Wooden Katana at 17.7%). You'll have the weapon supply to level Greatsword mastery smoothly.
When should I reroll my race?+
After you pick a mastery. Rerolling to Oni for Greatsword, Elf/Skypiean for Katana, or Djinn for Scythe is worth it once you commit. Reroll Human immediately — it's the 48% default with only +5% XP.
What's the fastest way to farm gold?+
Sell duplicate weapons to the Forest Merchant. After Rima, farm Rima herself for Iron Novice drops and dismantle the duplicates into crystals. Gold scales with boss progression.
Do I need to buy gamepasses to progress?+
No. All progression content is free. Gamepasses compress farm time but don't gate any content. Extra Boss Drop and More Chests give the biggest real progression boost.
