Slime Seas Crafting Recipes Guide
Slime Seas crafting spans the Blacksmith (upgrade + dismantle), the Crafter (recipe shop), and Potion Brewing. Mechanics and tiers below are pulled from the official Trello.

First upgrade is free
At the Blacksmith, your first upgrade on any item is a 100% guaranteed success. After that, success chance drops 5% per success and rises 5% per failure.
Dismantle for crystals
Old armor and weapons dismantle into one crystal each, matching the item's rarity. Crystals upgrade same-rarity gear. Dismantling never loses more than 1 crystal even on +X upgraded items.
Potion brewing mini-game
Potion Brewing is a click/tap mini-game — land the traveling bar inside the white zone to succeed. A successful brew always produces a Greater-tier potion.
Luck Superior = 2x
The strongest buff tier is Superior Luck potion at 2x for 30 minutes. Superior Defense is 1.6x / 30m, Superior EXP and Power are 1.5x / 30m.
Blacksmith: Upgrade and Dismantle
Upgrade: spend crystals to enhance a weapon or armor piece. Rules:
- First upgrade on any item is 100% guaranteed.
- Every successful upgrade reduces the next upgrade's success chance by 5%.
- Every failed upgrade increases the next upgrade's success chance by 5%.
- Crystal rarity must match the item's rarity.
Dismantle: break down old gear into crystals equal to the gear's rarity. A +X upgraded weapon still returns only 1 crystal, so dismantle before you invest. Items queued for dismantle appear on the right side of the menu and can be canceled for free.
Crystals are also winnable from the Daily Spin. They cannot be purchased with Robux or Gems.

The Potion Brewing mini-game always rewards a Greater-tier potion on success. Superior-tier potions come from codes, shop purchases, and rare drops.
How Crafting Feeds Progression
The upgrade loop is: beat bosses → collect armor and weapon drops → dismantle duplicates into crystals → upgrade the best piece you own. Because Ogre Lord drops multiple 20-28% rate armor pieces, he's the most efficient farm for dismantle crystals once you reach level 255.
Crafting Tips to Save Time and Materials
- Always take the free first upgrade on a new item before dismantling anything.
- Hoard crystals of the rarity you actually wear. A pile of common crystals doesn't upgrade a Fabled item.
- After a failed upgrade, try again immediately — the next attempt has a higher success chance.
- Brew potions in batches before long farm sessions; Superior potions only last 30 minutes.
